From any app, into the right section

Two things decide whether a web clipper becomes a habit: how a page gets into it, and how precisely it can be filed once it is there. Clipperjay 0.6 improved both ends.

Share, don’t copy-paste

Clipperjay now registers with the Android share sheet. Reading something in your browser, your feed reader, a chat app? Share → Clipperjay, and the link arrives in the library ready to capture. No switching apps, no copying an address and pasting it into a text field.

Section groups: filing where you actually file

OneNote notebooks are not flat. It has section groupsWork › Clients › Northwind, Home › House › Renovation — and if a clipper only offers the top level, every clip lands one or two levels above where it belongs.

The destination picker now walks that structure. Pick a notebook, step into a section group, step into another, choose the section, choose or create the page. The nesting you built in OneNote is the nesting you file into.

Combined with the destination being remembered per site, this is what turns clipping into one tap: the recipe site you always file under Home › Kitchen › Recipes keeps arriving there, and you only think about the destination when you want something different.

Why this is the boring release that matters

Neither of these is a headline feature. Both are the difference between an app you open on purpose and an app that is simply where pages go.

We hope you enjoy it :)
